The table is still fairly early days, with Hull in fifth and Villa in fourth, when everyone clearly knows that come next summer Hull will be nearer the bottom and Villa will be top! Well… I’m allowed to dream.

After a nice, morale boosting 6-0 victory, Villa have been brought down to earth by FC Zurich. The final game of our pre-season tour of Switzerland, part of our preparations for the Intertoto Cup, has come to a bitter end, with Villa going down under the weight of 2 penalties.
