The UEFA Cup draw is upon us

The draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup is to be held in Switzwerland today at midday (GMT). Villa secured a place in this draw with the win over Odense BK, which also made us the winners of the last ever Intertoto Cup.
I could list the teams in the draw here but all it will do is make you think one of two things; 1. Who the hell are they? 2. I think Mart has feel asleep on his keyboard. Other than the Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic, all the other teams just look like a bunch of letters haphazardly stuck together, that are in no way pronouncable and are very probably made up!
I’ll post back later with who we draw against and I’ll dig around and find out anything I can about them for you too (and pretend it was stuff I knew all along!).
Keep your fingers crossed for the Irish team because then at least more of our fans can afford to travel to the game and we’ll be able to pronounce their name when we sing derogatory songs at them!
