Season Highlights
By: irish_steve | May 19th, 2008Hello fellow Villa fans. The season is over and we all should have a smile on our faces. We ended up coming 6th in the hardest league in the world and will be playing in Europe next season via the Intertoto cup. Over the next few weeks I will be reporting on all of our transfer rumors as well as assessing our squad and trying to determine what type of players we need to bring in to better our squad. The Blues are relegated but the Baggies are coming up so we are guaranteed 2 more mouthwatering derby matches next season.

Player and Young Player of the Year - Ashley Young
Game - 4-4 against Chelsea, boxing day…
Goal - obviously, Petrov vs Derby in April
moment - 2-0 against Chelsea… put us up there as genuine Euro challengers, and unfortunately spelled the end of Jose’s reign.Hopefully MO’N won’t be as quiet during the window as he has been in the others so far. We need about 5-6 quality (and experienced) players to be able to sustain a league and Euro challenge next year.
