Paul Birch passes away
By: Chris | February 2nd, 2009Yet more sad, sad news out of Villa Park today. The official website has announced the tragic death of Paul Birch, who lost his battle with cancer this morning and passed away at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield.
Birchy played over 200 games for Villa between 1980 and 1991, including during some difficult times for the club.
My thoughts go out to Paul’s family at this difficult time. Rest in peace, HEITS.

You was a good footballer and will be sadly missed, played for the same junior Villa teams as Paul, Didnt know him well as he was a few years older than me.
But always respected him.
