The Villa Blog is BACK!!

I hope that you have kept checking this blog here at The Offside because now I am the new author, blogger, or whatever you want to call me. Unlike my predecessor, I will strive to update this page almost daily, and ALWAYS when there is new breaking Villa news. In the next few days I will have a full team update of some of the transfer dealings and pre-season friendlies, along with full team previews of every position. This blog will be more then just copying and pasting what can be read on Soccernet or Eurosport, it will be a place where my opinions will be made obvious and where we Villa fans can share how we feel about the team. So I want to hear from you! I am fairly active at the USA Offside and the Poland Offside and the comments from readers really make the blog exciting and fun to read. I want to create that atmosphere here at the Villa Offside.
If anyone cares, and I can’t blame you if you don’t, I wrote up a little bio of myself after the jump…

Occupation: Graduate school. Doctoral student in Microbiology.
Footballing Experience: Club level player
Favorite Club: Villa of course! But I follow all football closely and am especially fond of the US and Polish national squads.
Favorite Player: Frieds is the man.

Looking forward to coverage and opinion on Villa. Personally getting impatient with signings this season – really disappointed with the Zat departure give the status in the back. Hopefully there is a plan and we will be welcoming additions soon. Would have been nice to get them in the Peace Cup squad to get ready for August.
