The Continuing Story Of Bareth Garry (Part 4 – The ban is lifted)

By: Martini Extra Dry | July 15th, 2008

After his period in exile, for comments made in the tabloid press about Martin O’Neill, Gareth Barry is to return to training tomorrow.

Barry spoke out in the national newspaper about O’Neill’s handling of his transfer saga with Liverpool, saying that the manager had found time to appear on the BBC but had no time for him. O’Neill was outraged by Barry’s comments, denying them and then fining Barry and banning him from training.

Now Barry’s suspension is over and he will tomorrow rejoin the squad in training. It is unlikely he will feature in the game against Lincoln City this week or the Intertoto Cup game at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest in jumping in on the Barry bid still remains uncertain, but looks possible after Pat Rice’s comments in the press stating Arsenal’s consideration of an offer.
