He has his personal ambitions, which is fair enough (he could have expressed them with more decorum, though), and wants to play in the Champions League. With Villa being notably quiet in the incoming side of transfer market for the third time, considering the size of the squad, it is not unreasonable for Barry to believe that those ambitions won't be realised here while he is still at the peak of his game. So if Barry went to Arsenal, I would wish him all the best. However, Arsenal are also pretty quiet bringing players in, with their wage structure, and having to pay for the Emirates - so Arsene Wenger splashing out £18m for a player in his late twenties seems a bit far fetched to me, and I can't really see it materialising.
