International break a godsend

By: Martini Extra Dry | October 9th, 2008

After 7 games in 21 days, finally culminating in the toughest game of them all, and indeed one of the toughest two games of anyone’s season, the annual trip to Stamford Bridge. Odds have it that on your trip to the Bridge you will struggle to come away with any points, so it didn’t help our chances to have a hectic schedule preceding the game.

The calendar is now in an almost two week break from club football so much of our squad can have a nice break from action, time to recuperate and prepare for the next round of games.

This season will see us playing plenty more games than we are accustomed too. We have the UEFA Cup, which is a far from game-shy competition, and who knows, maybe this year we won’t draw Man Utd in the FA Cup and go out straight away!
