It’s Cup Final Day!!!

Sunday 28th February 2010, is today the day we end our drought of silverware? I sure hope so, and I hope there’s a certain FA Cup to follow, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’m proper nervous about today, United are a quality side and even though we’ve taken 4 points from them in the league, we’ve only scored 1 in each game, and I’m sure 1 goal isn’t going to be enough today. BUT it is the cup, and the cup final, we’ve had plenty to shout about as far as goals are concerned in the cup.

Villa have a got a lot more to play for than United, Warnock will want to prove he can play for England, what a better place than Wembley to do that, not to mention the likes of Dunne wanting his first cup medal, and for the first piece of silverware for a LONG time. Villa will want it more, and I think that’s what cup finals are about, it goes to whoever wants it more, and that has to be the Villa. With Chelsea’s annoying loss yesterday, United will have one eye on the league as they are only 1 point from top spot.

Sadly I won’t be at Wembley, I will be on my sofa with a shed load of beverages and snacks, it is live on BBC1 in the UK and on Sky Sports, but I’m sure there will be plenty of streams online to anyone outside of the UK.

Good luck to the Villa boys, I really cant wait, COME ON YOU LIONS!

He was the referee, who made that awful decision in the 5th minute.

“He was the referee, who made that awful decision in the 5th minute.”

Nope. The situation did not meet all 4 D’s of Denying an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity. He definitely should have been booked, but if you’re going to get on the referee for giving you a penalty and the lead in the 5th minute, I’ve got nothing much to say about that.

Nevermind…I’m wrong it’s not as simple as all that. A lot of referees I know are arguing back and forth on whether or not it should be a sending off. There doesn’t seem to be any consensus on this whatsoever. So being a Villa fan and upset about this play is completely reasonable. Still don’t think it lost you the game though :D

spiderman22, 4 words support your local team, and that goes for all u glory hunting b******ds u only ever win anythink by penalties or by the referee giving u a dodgey decision i wonder why it happens so often for man u is it coincidence must be or maybe its to do with the fact that your the bigest club in england and make the fa the most money so if somethink goes against u in order to keep that money coming in for the fa they sort it out and make sure all the referees are biased towards man u that would explain why the top 4 and all the london teams like west ham totenham arsenal and chelsea get away with so much c**p, its funny how we dont moan about referees all season except on the odd occasion when they make a silly not as obvious mistake but then wen we go against one of these teams its what everyone of us other fans are talking about, its cause all the referees know that all these clubs are bringing in so much money and there whats keeping the fa running, its like everythink in life its always effected by money

anyway we’ll be back in the fa cup final soon against hopefully blues!! but i think if we come up against one of these london teams we’ll get another dodgey game defining decision against us but then again not one team other than arsenal imo is as bad as man u and chelsea don’t seem to get dodgey decisions that much in there games so if we do get back to the final it should be a good fair final and if we lose fairly i will take it on the chin and say they where the better team or they took there chances because im not a sore loser but wht i cant stand is being cheated out of a game
